Lisa brought light into every room she entered.
And she loved babies as much as I.
When my second baby was born and rushed to Texas Children's, Lisa left a message on my answering machine.
Lucy, I light a candle for your baby girl. Do not worry, everything going to be alright. I light a candle.
And Lisa was right. My baby girl is now 42 years young, a wife and a mother.

I met Lisa 44 years ago and we bonded because we were both from Gothenburg. When my Mom was dying of cancer 33 years ago she told her that she would look after me and from then on she called me her adopted daughter and included me in her family. That’s how Lisa was: kind, caring and giving. She loved to entertain and was a very good chef and threw epic parties- all because she wanted people to have a good time.
Always positive and with a smile on her face.
After I retired and covid settled down we often went shopping. We would pack my car full of flats of flowers, making a good dent in the flower collection at Trader Jo’s, buy bling at Nordstrom’s and all the essentials a Swede needs at IKEA. We sneak in lunches as well.
She loved it when I bake banana nut bread for her and was equally excited every time I brought it.
I already miss my Lisa; my bubble is emptier. She was elegant and striking and also had a golden heart. She never met a stranger. Always happy to see you. Always a smile on her face.

I have known Lisa since I came to the United States. We met in New York. We were roommates
Later, I followed Lisa to Texas that makes it 60 years. I cannot believe it and I cannot believe that Lisa is gone. I will miss her forever our goodbye was with crying and laughter. The last time she was resting peacefully Lisa will always be in my heart. Monica Terrje
I had the pleasure of meeting Lisa through Jeanette. Our children attended the same elementary school. She was always so kind and smiling, always present at her grandchildren events and very clearly loved her family intensely. A beautiful lady inside & out, her personalized kindness has always stuck with me. She didn't just say hello or ask how you are doing, it was always with specific details to your life & family. She has a beautiful family that has many treasures of memories, I'm lucky to have met her. Prayers & strength to all she touched and loved. May she rest in peace.
I will always remember Lisa’s kindness and her eternal smile. She was always a shining light and will truly be missed.
I will never forget that Lisa taught me to eat and actually like tomatoes, as an adult. I loathed them my whole life. I even threw up when my mom forced me to eat one. But Lisa had made this beautiful lunch outside on the patio of her Aspen home for Vanessa and me. The appetizer looked so good and I didn’t dare offend her, so I dove in. She was so proud once I told her told her how I had previously been repulsed by them for 30 + years. She was the consummate hostess.
I will never ever forget Lisa now when I order fresh heirloom or beefsteak tomatoes.
And it happens often.
