Verlinde Van den Berge Hill Doubleday, loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away surrounded by friends and family on August 28, 2022 after a brief but brave battle with metastatic lung cancer. She was 68. Verlinde Read Obituary
Occasionally I got to go to the Doubleday house after school, and Mrs. Hill Doubleday (or Walker's mom, as I thought of her), always had a warm welcome for me. This was during those awkward middle school years for Walker and me, but there were always snacks and games and her generosity made those afternoons something I could genuinely look forward to. I'm grateful to have those memories today as I send loving thoughts to the Doubleday family.
Bill and Family. I was so qvery sorry to hear about Verlinde. I have such fond memories of Verlinde while living in Houston. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time.

I so loved having you as a client for many years in my hair business!! You always had such a sweet spirit and a beautiful smile and many words of wisdom!! I look at one of your paintings every night in my bedroom and hope you know how talented you really were!! I’ve missed you this last year but know I will see you again when God calls me home to eternity! To her family, I remind you that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!!
