Stanley "Stan" Musick's Obituary
Our beloved Stanley (Stan) Musick entered eternal life on April 22, 2025 in Tomball, Texas. “Stan the Man” was born April 23, 1944 in Morgantown, West Virginia to Joe and Sarah Musick.
Stan graduated from Morgantown High School in 1962 and entered the Air Force shortly after. After completing his service in 1967, Stan attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1972. He was proud to share that he was the first in his family to earn a college degree.
After completing college, Stan began a long career with Texas Eastern and after several company acquisitions retired from Duke Energy in 2003.
Stan had a strong work ethic and a quick wit. He loved baseball (especially the Astros), was proud of his WV roots, enjoyed going to the beach and most importantly spending time with his family.
Stan is survived by his wife Elaine; sons Robert (Sarah) and Brian (Emily), step-daughter Lauren (Pedro) and step-son Justin (Jen); 14 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; brothers Bob (Tanya) and Mark (Michele) and numerous other relatives. His mother-in-law Shirley Coffey always held a special place in his heart.
Stan was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Angie DeWitt and Mari Jo Lash, and father-in-law Ted Coffey (his best buddy).
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 7, 2025, from 1:00-3:00 pm at Fratelli’s Restaurant, 1330 Wirt Rd. Family and friends are encouraged to wear their favorite Astros or baseball shirt.
Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
