Rest in Peace Msgr. Dan and let perpetual light shine on him. The Scheel and Krenek families were close friends over the years in Wharton County. He was always a kind and spiritual person. We will miss him.
Father Dan was the first priest I met at St. Jerome’s when I moved from Corpus Christi, Tx.
He baptized my children and confirmed them as well.
My granddaughter also attended Catholic Church at St. Jerome’s.
He left us love and support for our family that will last forever.
May he rest peacefully with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our family has fond memories of Father Dan Scheel over the many years he was at St. Jerome. Both of our families were charter members. We also share in his love of beagles and spending time at Lake Livingston. May he rest in Peace!
