Mary McCollum lit a candleWhile it’s been a ‘minute’ since I last saw Blaine, I’ll never forget the 1st time I laid eyes on this man. It turns out that it was the exact same day I 1st met Michelle - IN PERSON - that is! I’d known Michelle for years, but by phone only. We’d spent so many hours talking business, & prolly more trading stories about our families, our kids. When she FINALLY moved to TX, she came to my house for dinner that 1st night in town, Blaine & Curtis in tow!
As I talked w/Blaine, & as I watched the 2 of them engaging w/one another throughout the night, I saw the love between them. It’s no secret they had their share of tough times. It’s also no secret that these 2 could NOT see past one another & could NOT live without each other. I watched that love, even stronger, while at Michelle’s side on their wedding day. It fills my heart to know that Blaine felt that love, knew it like he knew his own skin, and that he met Jesus leaving an abundant earthly love for an amazing Heavenly love. Free from all earthly pain, Fly High Blaine! Watch over our girl & Curti! Til we meet again …..
