Mary Louise Jardine's Obituary
Mary Louise “Mary Lou” Jardine, born July 5,1940 in Needville, Texas to Anton and Martha Stransky, died peacefully on July 24,2025 in Houston, Texas.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Henry Jardine, DVM.; parents, Anton and Martha Stransky; Pappy and Margaret Jardine; her brother and wife, Johnny and Dona Stransky; brothers in law, Dennis Stavinoha and Bobby Sury.
She is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Stavinoha and Kathy Sury; as well as numerous nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews and a great great niece and a great great nephew.
After graduating from Needville High School, Mary Lou earned a Bachelors degree from Sacred Heart Dominican College. She spent many years at MD Anderson as an RN and was a part of giving the first radiation treatments. Mary Lou attended Our Lady of Walsingham and was a part of the Altar Guild, Bulletin folding team, counting the tithes with a team. She supported every education event, the Sacred music and arts events. She was very giving to the church and loved helping everyone.
She was also passionate about painting. She was very involved with the Porcelain Art Club. She also loved to travel. She would travel with family, with friends and enjoyed going to meet new people to paint and learn to paint new things.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Walsingham, 7809 Shadyvilla Lane in Houston, Texas.
