Mom, the time has come for me to sadly say goodbye. You were and always will be my mom. The best mom, the mom that took care of me as a new born baby. The mom that took care of me as a child, as a teen, as a young adult and continued taking care of me as a grown man. You took care of me throughout my entire life. You took care of me to your last breath.
Someone special to you and very special to me said, she can hear you. Hold her hand and tell her that you are right there next to her. Tell her that you love her and let her know everything is okay. I stood next to you holding your hand and said, “I love you mom. I am right here. It is okay.” You did not say anything, but I heard your response. Although I am sad mom, thank you for giving me peace. May you rest in peace for eternity.
You know I do not do well with sad stuff, so here are a few things I need to tell you. Please don’t get mad at me for this one. I gave dad a heads up that you are on the way. That is only fair. I’ll leave it at that. I asked, (suggested) that there be a fresh pot of coffee ready upon arrival and to please consider Bingo on Friday nights.
Mom, I will never know how you did it. You were the best mom a family could hope for. I appreciate you, I miss you, and I love you from my first breath, to my last. Rest in Heaven.
