Deeply saddened to read of the passing of June. Thanks to the kindness, generosity and hospitality of June and Joseph, a little boy from Belfast was able to enjoy the best six weeks of his life on the Greenwood Lake shore in the Summer of 1977. I still cherish those memories today. My deepest condolences to Joseph and his family circle on their loss. Suaimhneas siorai Meitheamh.

I was blessed to meet June and her husband, Joe at the Polish Parish-Our Lady of Czestochowa. My daughter, Natalie and I attended Masses there during the pandemic. June was always so warm and friendly and soon found out she came from NY similar to me. We shared memories of NY and she told me about her prom and her wonderful escort, Joe. When you saw June and Joe together, you could easily see their deep love for one another and their deep love for their Catholic Faith. Last year, when I had surgery June prayed for me. I was grateful for those prayers and promise to continue to pray for Joe and his family. May June rest in peace.

June was a treasured neighbor and friend who lended a helping hand and offered supportive advice during my early years of parenting. She led the children on our street in Christmas caroling during the holiday season - a beloved memory for all involved. I thank the LORD for the life of June Kollar!
