John was 11 years older than I was, so for many years after he graduated, I rarely saw him but as we grew older, I realized what a great brother he was & found out how he had protected me when I was young and didn't realize it. We lived a long ways apart but I treasured every time we got to see each other. He was a special man, talented, wise with an incredible sense of humor and I will miss him terribly. He is with God and the angels now and forever more.

I have good memories of Weekends in Roselle, South Holland, and Belvedere during Christmas time and other Holiday Weekends as well as Summer weeks up at Prosit with our families and Grandma Strom. We had great fun on our big trip to Sunnyvale where your family and your Dad and Mom were such gracious hosts . We were given the Grand Tour of San Fran - Chinatown, buying fireworks , the crookedest Street , Fisherman's Wharf and so much more . I think you lived on Bluebird Lane or something like that . I remember I had never seen a sliding glass Patio Door before and I walked into the one you had several times. Luckily, I never broke it or got hurt , but Uncle John never chuckled about it or made me feel silly. It was so awesome when you moved to Roselle and we got to visit with you after not seeing you for so long.
Uncle John was super Uncle and Brother and Husband . We are sorry for your and our loss and want you to know that our thoughts and Prayers are with you all,-- God Bless , The Strom Family of Rochester MN.

My dad and mom were babysitting my young son and when I picked him up the next day I said how did it go for bedtime and he said just fine. I said it did? He went to bed with no problem? And he said yes. I just told him we were going to bed and I turned out the lights. 5 mins later he walked upstairs to his bedroom.
