Gary Lynn Stegent's Obituary
Gary Lynn Stegent was born on April 29, 1955, in Houston, Texas, to Barbara and Edward Stegent. He passed away on February 4, 2026, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 70. Gary was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Leeann Stegent, and his parents, Barbara and Edward Stegent.
Gary is survived by his sister, Rhonda Barron, and her husband, David, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Gary spent most of his career working as an insurance adjuster. Later in life, he worked delivering car parts to local dealerships before retiring on October 31, 2024. Gary had a deep love for riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and made many friends through group rides. He was a devoted member of Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, where he faithfully served as an usher.
Gary lived in the Oak Forest neighborhood from 1992 until his passing. He enjoyed visiting with his neighbors and was known by all as a kind and friendly neighbor.
A Liturgy of the Word service will be celebrated on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, located at 3600 Brinkman Street, Houston, Texas 77018. Following the service, a luncheon will be held in the Fellowship Hall in memory of Gary.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church – Maintenance Fund at 3600 Brinkman Street, Houston, Texas 77018.
