Gabriel Gutierrez Navarro's Obituary
Gabriel Gutierrez Navarro, 44, of Houston, Texas, entered eternal rest on
October 2, 2025. He was born on June 6, 1981, in Houston to Linda G. Navarro
and the late Miguel Navarro Jr.
Gabriel was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and cousin whose warmth and
kindness touched everyone who knew him. He graduated from high school in
2000 and went on to live a life centered around family, faith, and community.
A lifelong member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Gabriel faithfully served as
an usher and volunteered in church activities. He was also a proud member of
the Knights of Columbus since 2000, sharing in brotherhood and service for 25 years. He participated in the “Kick Drugs Out of America” program and was
always eager to encourage others toward a purpose.
Gabriel worked as a chef at an Italian restaurant, where he enjoyed expressing
his love for food and cooking. Outside of work, he was the family’s go-to cook
—always knowing everyone’s favorite dishes and making each meal feel
special. He cared deeply for his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed fishing, martial arts, and playing bingo with the Knights of
Columbus. He also loved visiting the casino and spending time with friends and
family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Miguel Navarro Jr., his nephew Josiah, his
grandmothers, Mary Gutierrez and Natividad Navarro, and his grandfathers
Eulalio G. Gutierrez and Miguel Navarro Sr.
He is survived by his devoted mother, Linda G. Navarro; his sibling,s Christina,
Nicholas, David, and Angelica; his sister in law, Shania, and his cherished
nieces and nephews Isabella, Noah, Zachary, Sadie, Abigail, Ricardo, Anna
Katherine, Nevaeh, Noah, and Aleyah.
Gabriel’s life will be celebrated in Houston, the city he called home. His legacy
of love, faith, and devotion to family will forever remain in the hearts of those
who knew him.
A viewing and visitation for Gabriel will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell Street, Houston, TX, followed by the Rosary at 7:30 p.m.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 10, 2025 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell Street, Houston, TX, followed a rececption in the Fellowship Hall.
