Chris and Mary Ann Leman's Obituary
Christopher Leonidas Leman, Sr. and Mary Ann Ilse Leman
After 57 years of marriage, Christopher Leonidas Leman, Sr. and Mary Ann Ilse Leman departed this world together.
Chris was born in Houston, Texas, on July 10, 1950, to Arthur and Eleanor Leman. He graduated from St. Thomas High School before attending Texas A&M University. A proud Aggie, Chris served as a member of the A&M Corps of Cadets during his time in College Station. He spent his career working in the family business, Southwest Oilfield Products, where his colleagues became like family. Many friendships were forged over long evenings on hunting leases in South Texas.
Mary Ann was born in Houston, Texas, on January 5, 1952, to JW Everett and Bettie Ilse. She graduated from Lamar High School before attending Stephen F. Austin University. She worked proudly to support her young family before eventually dedicating herself full time to raising them. Mary Ann was a wonderful cook who lovingly marked every birthday with a homemade angel food cake.
Chris and Mary Ann are preceded in death by their daughter Samantha Alexander and husband Howard, and daughter Kimberly Leman.
They are survived by their son Christopher Leman, Jr.; son Michael Leman, wife Ashley, and grandchildren Everett and Adelaide; grandson Zachary Leman, wife Carolina Francioni, and great-grandchildren Miranda, Ettore, and Ottavia; and granddaughter Ellie Patton and wife Makayla.
Services will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church (6622 Haskell St, Houston, TX 77007) on Monday, July 28, from 6-7pm with a reception immediately following.
Donations may be made to the Texas GSP Rescue.
